Break your way into spring with a comfy shirt dress and distressed denim jacket! So easy and comfortable for your weekend errands or a plane ride to your next vacation. I threw on my white Vans and leather hat for my second day hair. More outfit details below xx, M
I've been wanting to make one of these for a while and today was one of my rare free days! It is super easy and took me maybe 30 minutes tops! I got all of my supplies from Hobby Lobby with the handy 40% off discount they offer + lucky me I went on the day it was half off flowers. Score! Just follow the easy steps below and you're on your way to creating your own Floral Monogram! xx, M
What You Need:
pair of scissors or a knife
hot glue gun
2 bundles of fake flowers
1 - Cut one side of your cardboard letter off. Just slice down each side but be careful of course :)
2 - Take the weird filler things out. They aren't attached so pop out super easy.
3 - Next cut your styrofoam in smaller shapes that fit inside your letter. If you can't fill every single area that's fine! Your flowers will cover the holes anyways.
4 - After you cut your flowers (leaving 1/4 - 1/2 inch on the stem) stick them into the styrofoam however you want them placed! If you have a difficult letter like an M I would aim to get smaller flowers for the pointed parts so the letter forms better.
And there you have it! A beautiful floral monogram! Let me know if you have anymore DIY ideas you want me to try I'm always on the lookout for fun crafts and recipes! And if you use this tutorial post a photo on Instagram and tag me! xx, M
Day 1 of Teen Vogue! Everyone was on their fashion A-Game let me tell you. If I could've stolen a few girls' outfits I would've! Everyone was so fabulous. I dressed it down and went with an all white (almost) outfit. I usually never go monochrome but decided hey why not it's Teen Vogue right?! If you love it, wear it. xx, M
During Teen Vogue Fashion U we were gifted with some amazing samples. We received a reversible Express tote bag in silver and black, the newest Teen Vogue edition for April, and a beautiful Academy of Art University coffee table book. Michelle Phan gave a sample of her lip balm from her personal line, Erika Bearman (Oscar de la Renta's PR girl) gave us an 'Extraordinary' perfume sample and adorable bangles, Aliza Licht (DKNY's PR girl) gave us their nail polish by Essie and a matte lipstick. And Jessica Simpson gifted us a sample of her perfume. Kirsten Joy Watts (Instagram's fashion & style director) gave us a super cute Instagram mug because who doesn't love mugs these days?! This event was so so so much fun and I was so excited to be one of 500 applicants who were accepted this year. I hope to be back! xx, M
